Now, for some reason, these guys go into hiding tomorrow, which I'm not showing a tremendous amount of enthusiam for; but I'm starting to see a trend that when it comes to holidays, we do weird things that mom in particular gets really excited about. I humor her and usually end up having a pretty good time with it, too. So, I'm going to trust them on this whole Egg Hunt thing.
Mom was organizing baby clothes this weekend and stumbled across this fabulous treasure that somehow had not previously found its way into my dress up trunk. Thank goodness it was unearthed in time for Easter--that was CLOSE!
Mom and I played hooky from work and school today and went to the park to celebrate and evade the truant officers.
Four little field mice who live in the sky.
Four little field mice, like you and I!
One is the Springmouse who turns on the showers.
Then comes the Summer who paints in the flowers.
The Fallmouse is next with walnuts and wheat,
And Winter is last...with little cold feet.
Aren't we lucky the seasons are four?

Josey led the adventure, Orion made sure we hung together and I kept my eyes peeled from the back to make sure we didn't miss anything.

Any Fairies in the creek?
Fairies like to live in trees, so this is a good place to look.
We decided, over pears, hot cocoa and pb and j that yes, there are such things as fairies. Absolutely.
and Valentine Cards.
Then went to a women's basketball game, which I found utterly boring--I'm cheering for the band here. I had zero interest in the whole running, ball, dribble, toss aspect of the evening,
but forgave my mom the bad date idea when she took me out for hot chocolate.
